Announcements and National Anthem
Students arriving after 8:30 a.m. are considered tardy and must be signed in by a parent/guardian.
You will be asked to provide the means of transportation to and from school for your child. In the event this changes, please notify the school at least two hours prior to dismissal. This must be done in writing. Please contact the school office for a Change in Transportation form. For security reasons, no changes in transportation arrangements will be made by phone. Bus drivers or teachers cannot coordinate pick up/drop off changes that have not been approved by DeLalio office administration.
Should parents need to update emergency contacts, please contact the office for a Change of Information form. We appreciate your help in keeping all contact information current!
In the event of unplanned early dismissals or inclement weather changes, our mass notification system is used to communicate this information via text, phone call, and/or email.

Drop Off/Pick Up Procedures
Private Vehicles - "Kiss and Drop"
- This area is used for student dropoff (8:00-8:30am) and afterschool pickup.
- Enter the parking lot from Curtis Road and follow the procedures, which is to the right of the main parking lot.
- Please pull all the way up to the Kiss and Drop sign.
- Teachers and staff on duty will direct students to the proper entrance.
- For safety, vehicles are normally held three at a time until all children have either exited in the mornings, or loaded in the afternoons. Once all doors are closed, those three vehicles may move.
- DeLalio staff may open the door for your child, but we may not buckle him/her into the vehicle.
- To support traffic moving efficiently and safely through the arrival and dismissal area, parents are asked not to get out of their vehicles.
- The speed limit in school zones is 25 miles per hour; in parking lots, 5 miles per hour.
- For the safety of all, do not meet students in the bus areas or shoulders of the main roads.
- Children and parents are asked to only cross roadways at designated cross walks or where there is a crossing guard.
- Do not leave children unattended in your vehicle and do not leave your vehicle unattended while in the traffic line.
Bus Loading and Unloading
Bus transportation is offered to students living in both McCutcheon Manor and Peterfield Landing. Students should use the bus stop closest to their homes and should arrive at the bus stop five minutes prior to pick-up and wait patiently in an orderly manner. All bus riders should be reminded to stay on the sidewalk until the bus comes to a complete stop before stepping into the roadway to board the bus. Please be advised that the provision for riding the bus is a privilege. Any conduct or activities that threaten the health, safety or welfare of the bus driver, other students, or any other riders in any manner could result in indefinitely terminating all bus riding privileges. See parent-student handbook for more information.
- 7:45 a.m.– 8:45 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.– 3:45 p.m. - Only buses may pick up and drop off students in the front parking lot between the designated area of staff parking areas
- Please do not pass the school bus even if the STOP sign is not out.
Walkers/Bikers
During the warm months, some parents may wish to walk with, or bike with, your child to and/or from school. While we love the health benefits of this, we do ask that you consider the hazards that could potentially expose your children to unnecessary risks. These include odd traffic patterns at the Curtis Road / White Street intersection, an abundance of traffic turning into the CDC along with civilians and military arriving and departing work, and increased traffic that must turn right out of the CDC. Because of this, students walking to/from school, or biking to/from school must be accompanied by a parent every time. Students are not allowed to do so without.
Parents picking up students after school on foot should wait by the flagpole only. Parents are not allowed to walk up to students in the pickup line, or within close proximity.
